Sunday, November 27th is the first Sunday in Advent, and following Scandinavian tradition, it is the start of Christmas-- the day we light the first candle on the Advent ring. We celebrate the day in Urbanity by doing something special. We collect, either by donation, or by a percent of sales, for the
Union Gospel Mission's Christmas dinner fund. And this year we have invited
Olla Flowers from Gastown to have a trunk show in the store with her wreaths and decorations made using organically grown, local products.
Cassandra VanDyck will sing for us.
